Canadian Roots Radio has received some noteworthy music from Stony Plain Records.

Stony Plain is a highly-prestigious label and so we’re naturally excited with this new addition. We’ve been able to add titles from Ian Tyson, Harry Manx, Corb Lund, Monkey Junk and many, many more outstanding artists.

This music will complement the extraordinary collection of music we have previously received from Borealis, Busted Flat, The OCFF drop-box program, Winterfolk Creative Director Brian Gladstone,  publicists including LW Communications, Jen Fritz, Big Bold Sun, Sara French Publicity, Jane Eamon, Speak Music, Sugar Moon Music, Joelle May, Six Shooter Records, and, of course, directly from musicians themselves.

Stony Plain is a record company based in Edmonton, Alberta. The label specializes in what its founder calls roots music: Contemporary music with roots in the past that stands on its own, but which influences almost all the pop music you hear around you.
